This college was one of the fourteen Unity Colleges established in 1999 by the Federal Government. The Pioneer Principal was Haija Ramatu Usman. Due to some logistics issues, academic activities could not start until April 2000. The College was located at the former site of Sabon-Gari Primary School off Toto Road, Abaji.
